Essem Jute Industries Ltd. was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal, Shri. Buddhadeb Bhattacharya in the year 2002. It was a Greenfield project within WBIDC Industrial Park in Cooch Bihar, North Bengal.
Initially Essem was a twine factory manufacturing 20 tones of yarns daily, but in the year 2005 it was converted into a composite unit producing hessian cloths and bags to meet the ever growing demand across varied markets.
The group visions to convert Essem into an export oriented unit, with a capacity of producing 40 tones per day specializing in production of jute yarns,hessian, jute tape, NCB etc. The company provides employment to 750 white and blue collared workers with 25 spinning frames and 100 looms.
